Overview
This is an exciting
and challenging era where your organisation must deal with
traditional media, new social media and with that a more vocal and
active consumer base. Before you just had to worry about a few
thousand readers of a newspaper being critical about your
organisation now with 60million users of Facebook and 2million
YouTube downloads a day, the risks are higher.
This hands-on
media training course offers you lots of practical content to help
you work well with the media and learn the art of managing the new
social media. Attendees will need to come from Day One with three
ideas for possible press releases from their organisation, they will
be helped to select and write one and advised on the best media to
send it to and how.
●
Delegates
are requested to attend on both days dressed as they would
for a television interview
(news or current affairs show).
●
Role
playing will be conducted to equip delegates for radio and
television interviews.
●
There will
be an extensive very practical section on the new social media:
Facebook, Twitter,
YouTube, podcasts, and
more. You know of them and may even be using them already, but can
you
say it is effective in terms of your organisation's public relations
and marketing?
All content shared
(except for the course material provided) during this workshop is
strictly confidential.
Delegates will be
treated to a section presented by e-tv broadcaster, Debora Patta
who is best known for her challenging investigative interviews
on 3rd Degree.
To increase the value
gained, delegates are encouraged to submit one question on
registration for the facilitator to answer either during the course
or in the course notes. There will, however, be a very dynamic
exchange of ideas and solutions during the course.
